Hello, I recently installed Visio 2019 on my Windows 10 machine. I'd like to insert some equations/formulas in my diagrams. Unlike Word, PowerPoint,..., I didn't found the Equation Editor in Visio. I know that in Visio 2013 there is a Microsoft Equation Editor 3.0 Object, but I use the 2019 version and, as far as I know, Equation Editor 3.0 is no longer supported. What can I do? Thank you in advance. NC

Hi NC,
Yes, you are right. Equation Editor 3.0 is no longer supported in newer versions of Office/Visio because of security issues with its implementation.
Based on my knowledge, you can insert a Word document object in Visio to create equations/formulas:
In addition, you can create the equations/formulas in Word/MathType, then either copy it and paste(you may need use the paste option "Paste Special") it into Visio, or select it and drag it over to your diagram.
Hope the information was helpful. If you have any update, feel free to post back to let us know.
Best Regards,
Herb
