Since you’re facing this issue after reinstalling Windows 7, audio redirection or bidirectional audio from terminal server to your laptop must be disabled. Contact your IT admin to check if redirecting audio to client terminal services RDP is enabled.
Also check in your laptop, whether you’re Remote desktop client is configured to support this feature.
1. Open Remote Desktop Client
2. Click on Remote Audio>settings>Microphone
3. Under Microphone, make sure “Record from this computer” is enabled.
