В следующем примере кода задается PathSeparator свойство a TreeView и отображается число дочерних узлов дерева, содержащихся в TreeNodeCollection элементе SelectedNode. Также отображается процент дочерних узлов дерева в общей сложности узлов дерева в элементе управления представлением дерева. В этом примере требуется иметь элемент управления с Buttonэлементом Form управления с TreeNodeCollectionTreeView несколькими TreeNode объектами (желательно с тремя или более уровнями).

Путь состоит из меток всех узлов дерева, которые необходимо перейти к этому узлу дерева, начиная с корневого узла дерева. Метки узлов разделены символом разделителя, указанным в PathSeparator свойстве TreeView элемента управления, содержащего этот узел. Например, если символ разделителя элемента управления представлением дерева с именем Location задан символ обратной косой черты (\), FullPath значение свойства — Country\Region\State.
