SQL Server 2008 Management Studio - Edit top 200 Rows

New Install of 2008 Server with Management Studio.  When I right click a table and select Edit top 200 Rows, I get theis error: "Invalid prefix or suffix characters. (MS Visual Database Tools)".  I have not set up any prefix suffix or any other settings.

Hello,

Did you connect to SQL Server 2012 from SSMS 2008? If so, please try to install the latest service pack for SQL Server 2008.

We recommend that update table values in T-SQL query, for example,
UPDATE table_name
column_name=vlaues
WHERE...
