Hi,
1.You may try to disable/turn off Active X filtering on IE 11 for your printer website.
Use ActiveX controls for Internet Explorer 11 and Internet Explorer 10
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17469/windows-internet-explorer-use-activex-controls
2. If still not work, please try to set up the Compatibility View settings and disable Protected Mode:
Steps are followed as below:
- Go to the Internet Explorer > Internet Options > Security > Internet and change the Security level to Medium, and Disable the Protected Mode.
- Go to Internet Explorer > Compatibility View settings>Add the website(http://printserver.yourdomain.com/printers ) to the Compatibility View list.
Please try above suggestions and let us know if issue persisted.
Thanks,
Jenny

Hi,
Could you please let us know the version of Internet Explore you used?
Per searching, the missing button was sometimes related to Internet Explorer security or ActiveX filtering. Have you tried these settings as well?
Also, please check if the resolution in below link would be helpful.
Best Regards,
Jenny

Hi, I am using IE 11. Will the Connect only work on IE?
Will I have to set the Security setting and Active X on both my Server and the PC I am trying to use the connect from aswell ?
So far I have done: Set GPO setting, Activated ActiveX, Using Type 3 Driver, Changed to a PCL5 Instead of 6 and changed the IE Enhanced Settings to ON.

Nevermind. I can see it on my other Laptop now! So it worked. I can't see it however on my 2012 r2 server for some reason. But I think I know the reason for that! Thanks :D !
