Folder "Top of Information Store" created automatically in outlook

Question

Friday, February 6, 2015 11:47 PM

Hello everybody,

after migration from exchange 2003 to exchange 2010, I see a new folder created automatically on my outlook, it names "**Top of information store **". All my new emails come into this folder, all my sent items are in "deleted items" folder,... I want to have my outlook back to the normal arrangement. Please someone can help me to fix this problem. Many users have this same problem. I think that I will find a solution in this forum.

Thank you

Hi,

"Top of information store" is the top folder in your Outlook hierarchy, usually it is labeled with your email address.

Since this happens right after the migration from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 and "Many users have this same problem", I'm suspecting it might be an issue on the server side.

I would suggest we try to configure the email account on another Outlook client which doesn't have the problem and see if issue persists.

Also, have you ever checked this on OWA? Do you have the same issue there?

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.

Oh yes, i have checked on OWA, the same issue.

I tried to configure it on another Outlook client, the same problem.

The only difference, i can put a .pst file as default on by example outlook 2007 but no for outlook 2013. More, users need this service, they want to use the OWA when they outside the company.

Thank you, please help

Hi,

Since this happens on OWA, issue tends to be on the serve side. You probably need to post in the Exchange forum for further assistance.

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.
