Can no longer download and install Office apps from 365 site.

For some reason I went to install the Office Suite on a system today by clicking the Install Apps button in the top left and all it did was bring to a page to download CoPilot. Nowhere could I find the download link for the Office apps. I replicated this on 3 different systems for 3 users, all with Standard licenses.

Where do I get Office? (I asked Copilot, it told me to do what I was doing)

If you have a subscription, is it possible that it has expired?

Microsoft killed that option to download where it is supposed to go. I've posted a url for the downloads above. I am sure MS is in the works to fix it. But who knows.

I have the same problem. I'm on a Tenant Administrator and the accounts all have Business Standard licenses. Download button just redirects me to a page to download Copilot. Microsoft strikes again.

Same issue. Spent an hour looking for a workaround. Eventually I found two that work for me:

The download buttons at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/download-office still work (only on the en-us language version).

Open https://portal.office.com/account/#installs in a private browser window (or another browser), log in and the download links appear for me. It appears that having certain Copilot cookies in your browser determines if the link is hidden.

This works. I'm hesitant to "accept answer" though as they need to fix the problem. It is a good work around, but not an answer.

This sudden change feels like a massive joke, and it highlights a concerning level of incompetence on Microsoft’s part.

All official Microsoft documentation urgently needs to be updated. It still references the old installation process, which is no longer available, leaving users completely misled. For example:

Either update the documentation immediately or restore the previous, functional method that allowed users to download installers directly via: https://portal.office.com/account?ServiceID=LanguageItem

Let people choose the version they want to install, just like before (e.g.: I want to download x64 version with French Language pack). The current situation is unacceptable and unnecessarily disruptive.

Its https://myapp.microsoft.com now. Who knows for how long?
After 1/2 hour looking that drove me here. For the love of IT Admins: PLEASE STOP MOVING - DELETING - SHUFFLING AROUND LINKS AND STOP JUST STOP RENAMING EVERYTHING JUST BECAUSE. IT IS DRIVING ADMINS INSANE. The IT Admin / Support role is hard enough. Mastered 365 years ago. For years I've been able to go here and do this and that that in with a minimal investment of time and effort. Now, every module has been renamed and/or split from the previous links. For example, it WAS known as AZURE. Now its ~~ENTRA~~ IDENTITY, SECURITY, PURVIEW-NEW LOOK, still offers to switch to PURVIEW-OLD. Try to switch back to old, NO It is GOVERENANCE now and clicking that link says it's not available anymore. For the love of all things sacred and holy just STOP NEGATIVELY IMPACTING your users and admins productivity. I chat it up with the 365 support engineers and they agree it is MADDENING. Wake up tomorrow and can't find 1/2 the stuff they know like the back of their hands. It is a terrible waste of non-revenue producing time and money, just because some Millennials are at the top of the Redmond Ivory Tower now and want to make it counter-intuitive like Apple.

having the same issue

used my own tenant and clients tenant, keeps looping to show you where you have the 365 apps installed.

I had a similar problem today and was able to use a downloaded Office installer from a few weeks ago to reinstall Office on a device. If you do not have one let me know and I would happily link the one I have.

I'm also having the same problem, the Install Apps link is available at https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps, I'm redirected to https://portal.office.com/account but no package is available.

Sure do, but once you hit install, it just redirects you to https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=Harmony#installs

Thanks for the screen shot. I see what you mean. It seems to be a link to the 365 Copilot app, only. I'm wondering if this is a temporary issue.

Me too. I only eventually get to CoPilot. This is kind of like the Edge problem. No matter what you do, the wrong thing comes up.
