I want to change where files download on my Mac. I used to be able to set this but now I can't find the setting.

"You must upgrade to the new version." - they said.
"We know you're going to love it." - they said.
"Damn it." - the rest of us actually using the product said.
This is one of many reasons I didn't want to "upgrade" to the new Teams.

Unfortunately, as of right now, you cannot change the download folder location within Microsoft Teams on macOS. While the ability to change the download location exists in the Windows version of Teams, it's not yet rolled out for the macOS version.

You'll need to manually move downloaded files from your macOS Downloads folder to your desired location after each download.

The feature to choose a download folder for files in Teams under MacOS is critical and honestly, it is not apprehensible that it is missing. It causes a lot of extra work as we work with a large team that sends a lot of files to everybody. Many files are similar and have to be tediously renamed or immediately moved after each download as they all end up in "Downloads".
On Aug 20 Teams for macOS stopped download to my Downloads folder and started downloading to /users/<profilename>/Library/Contains/Microsoft Teams/Data/Downloads. Without the ability to adjust the download location this is a complete pain. Everytime I download I have to click the Open Folder button in the download notification and then drag it to the correct location.
It's bad enough that Mac uses can't change the folder by why bury the downloads in the Library folder now?
