Can't upload to OneDrive from External Drive on Mac.

I'm having trouble uploading a large amount of data from an external drive to OneDrive using my Mac. I have about 3.2TB of data that I need to upload. My Mac has only 500GB of local storage, and after a fresh install, I had roughly 440GB free.

I was able to successfully upload the first 600GB, but now I'm unable to continue uploading more files because OneDrive says there's insufficient local disk space. It seems like OneDrive is trying to store the files locally, which isn't possible due to my storage constraints.

I'm uploading directly from an external drive, and I was under the impression that I should be able to upload without needing to keep a local copy of everything. I also see that there are a ton of files in the Library folder after upload, but I can't tell what is local and what is on the cloud.

Is there a way to make OneDrive upload directly from the external drive without consuming additional local space, or any workaround for this situation?

    Hi,

You can try to Install OneDrive on an external drive, but your files size is too large, did you have enough memory for OneDrive cloud storage?

Try this method first and check if it will help you:
