After the latest update on Microsoft Edge, I am getting an edgeservices.bing.com url that runs and never stops whenever I start Edge

I updated Edge to 112.0.1722.34, and ever since then whenever I open Edge, the startup page is briefly displayed and then the following URL is executed and never stops: https://edgeservices.bing.com/edgesvc/shell?lightschemeovr=1&FORM=SHORUN&udscs=1&udsnav=1&setlang=en-US&clientscopes=noheader,coauthor,chat,docvisibility,visibilitypm,&udsframed=1&adlt=strict If I log into another user on the same laptop, Edge opens correctly. How can I get Edge to not execute the above command? I'm running on Windows 10 Home 22H2 and Windows update is current.

I'm getting the same thing, auto-redirects a few seconds after opening the browser, then doesn't happen again until I close and reopen it.

I tried resetting the values to default. It started normally once and the next time I started it, the same annoying thing happened. Windows update is current, running on 10 Home 22H2

I am having the same issue. The logo is "Bing's" logo so I guess they have something to do with stopping computers from accessing PDFs. I've found that I can still click and drag PDFs into my email and then open them from my iPhone. However, I need access on my computer as I'm sure everyone else does too. Hopefully they fix this mess and don't try whatever exactly they were trying again.

Just figured out the issue on my end. Maybe it will work for you too. Delete your edge account in the upper right corner if it says that it cannot sign in. I never created an Edge account and have never tried to but with this last update suddenly it wants me to have an Edge account. Once I selected "Remove account," I was able to open up PDFs on my computer again. It just puts a warning prompt above stating that I am not signed in but as for the files it appears I can open them again.

I have the same issue. 1 user account with Bing shell page pop up even though Bing is deleted. I completely deleted this user account and created another and the next day after the Microsoft update this is happening again. How do we fix the Bing shell page redirect from the update??

This is a problem always happening, I open my edge and then a few seconds later it opens up this edge services loading screen which never stops.

Daniel answer with 2 changes worked for me with child account. Add --disable-features=msUndersideButton as an additional argument in shortcut target field. Note --dis instead of -dis.... To those of you who are panicking and thinking "ITS A VIRUS". no it's not. I can see we all have the same issue, but it's not harmful. IDK what is causing this, but this is probably a test for the updates windows gives us.

Something that worked for me was going to Installed Apps --> then finding edge --> clicking on the three dots and choose Modify --> select to repair Edge. This solution solved the problem for me.

This happens to me, but only in my child's account. I had everything setup to launch youtubekids as the home page, but now edge launches into "ShellPage" and I have to manually open a new tab to access the kids content.
