If I get you correctly you are getting an error code while adding account on Teams free. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced.
Here are some recommended troubleshooting steps to try out
- Check Network Settings:
- Disable any VPN service.
- Try switching to a different network (e.g., mobile hotspot or another Wi-Fi).
- Clear Credentials and App Data:
- On Android: Go to Settings > Security & Privacy > More > Encryption & Credentials > Clear Credentials.
- On iOS: Remove saved Microsoft accounts from Settings > Passwords & Accounts.
- On Windows: Clear Credentials:
- Press Windows + R, type control keymgr.dll, and press Enter.
- In the Credential Manager, go to Windows Credentials.
- Locate and remove any entries related to Microsoft Teams
- Close Microsoft Teams completely (right-click the icon in the system tray and select Quit).
- Press Windows + R, type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and press Enter.
- Delete all contents in the folder.
- Repeat for these additional folders:
- %localappdata%\Microsoft\Teams
- %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams\Cache
- %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams\Service Worker\CacheStorage
- Restart your computer.
- Open Microsoft Teams and sign in again with your account.
- Try logging in from a different device or web browser.
- Uninstall and Reinstall Apps:
- Remove Microsoft Teams
- Reboot your device.
- Reinstall the app and try signing in again.
- Remove and Re-add the Account:
- In your device settings, remove the Microsoft account completely.
- Then re-add it through the Teams app.
