Microsoft Learn for Educators (MSLE) has two program options. You can participate as an Individual Educator and you can also nominate your Institution to be part of MSLE Educational Institution option.
Individual Educator
This option is for any educator who is looking to build their students’ technical skills. With the Individual Educator program option, you gain access to the Microsoft curriculum and teaching materials, our global Microsoft Learn for Educators Teams community, and other benefits of the MSLE Individual Educator program option.
Step 1: Create a Microsoft Learn profile
- Sign in to your Microsoft Learn Profile using your school email. If your Learn profile isn't set up, complete your profile.
- Navigate to your profile icon on the top right corner of the page, and select 'Settings'
- In the Account Management section, add an account using your personal email. If your email isn't a Microsoft Account, follow the instructions to get one.
- Take note of both your school and personal e-mail accounts you used to sign up.

Step 2: Enroll in the MSLE Program
Log in to the MSLE Portal
- Go to the MSLE Portal at aka.ms/MSLEPort and select 'Sign-in with your Microsoft Account' (MSA).
- Log in with your MSA (not a work or school account). If you don't have an MSA, follow the instructions in step 1.
Create your profile
- Enter your full name and your school email in the 'institution email' field.
- Make sure that your email address is spelled correctly before clicking the 'Next' button.
Verify your school's academic eligibility
Your school email confirms that your school is an academic institution and owns the domain used.
A. You received 'School Email Verification in Progress' message. This indicates that your school is verified within Microsoft and you can successfully move to the 'Verify Your School Email' step.
B. You received 'Your institution email could not be verified' or 'Thank you for your interest in the program.' This indicates that the school domain isn't in our database, or has expired documents.
You'll need to work with support to get your domain verified. Please log in to the MSLE portal and select help to create a support ticket. This review process can take up to seven business days. Once we review your school's eligibility information, the support team will notify you of your status via email.
Important
The support team may request the following documents:
- For Domain Ownership: Provide domain registration, purchase receipts, or screenshots of the domain management portal.
- For Academic Accreditation: Provide certificates, letters from the Department/Ministry/Board of Education, or governmental URLs with codes to check entity registration.
Verify your school email
Once your domain is verified, we’ll send a link to your school email with the subject "Take Action. Verify Your Academic Email." Please open this email from your school inbox (not a forwarded message) and click the link to complete verification within 5 days.
The email may take up to 24 hours to arrive—be sure to check your spam or junk folder before reaching out to support.
After you verify your school email and log back into the MSLE portal, you'll receive a confirmation message: "Your institution email has been successfully verified!"
Agree to the Personal Terms and Conditions
Make sure you’ve checked the “I agree” check box in the Terms and Conditions. This gives you access to our MSLE Teams Community, where you can get support from Community Managers and connect with other educators.
Complete the institution profile Complete the required fields marked * before hitting submit. Note: if your institution has multiple campuses with the same school domain, use the main campus address to be accurately connected with the institution.
A Thank You message signifies that you completed the registration and successfully created your MSLE profile.
Accessing teaching materials
Teaching material access instructions
Once you're part of the Microsoft Learn for Educator program, follow step-by-step instructions to gain access to the Microsoft curriculum and teaching materials.
Educational institution
This option is for academic institutions with multiple faculty members, who are interested in establishing a relationship with Microsoft at the department, program, school, or institution level. You or someone you designate, will act as the program advisor for your institution.
The program advisor is responsible for accepting the MSLE Program Terms, administering the program at your institution and serving as the primary administrative point of contact with Microsoft for this program.
For more detail on Institution requirements, program advisor and educators responsibilities, and institution benefits of the Educational Institution program option, review the MSLE Program Guide.
You can nominate your institution to be in MSLE Educational Institution program option, once you sign up as Individual Educator.
