Release schedule for Microsoft Sustainability Manager

Releases are mandatory, and you can't postpone updates. These updates are essential for maintaining system integrity and security.

Release frequency

The Microsoft Sustainability Manager quarterly release schedule is as follows:

  • January
  • April
  • July
  • October

Note

To better support our customers and partners in managing the new updates from Microsoft Sustainability Manager, we moved to a quarterly release cycle after September 2025. Customers should maintain N-2 compliance to qualify for support.

Release cadence

This table shows the general cadence for releases. It shows when the release is available for you to update manually for testing purposes, and when it plans to automatically update sandbox and production environments.

The What's new article for each month provides the expected availability and automatic update dates for that month. If you want to update an environment manually, you can refer to Manage Dynamics 365 apps in the Power Platform documentation.

Updates usually start around the first of the month and roll out to different countries and regions in stages. Some updates aren't available until later in the month. Sometimes, Microsoft delays updates for some regions to a future date.
