public:
System::Collections::IEnumerable ^ Select(System::Web::UI::DataSourceSelectArguments ^ arguments);
public System.Collections.IEnumerable Select(System.Web.UI.DataSourceSelectArguments arguments);
override this.Select : System.Web.UI.DataSourceSelectArguments -> System.Collections.IEnumerable
Public Function Select (arguments As DataSourceSelectArguments) As IEnumerable
A DataSourceSelectArguments used to request operations on the data beyond basic data retrieval.
An IEnumerable list of data rows.
The selectArgs
passed to the Select(DataSourceSelectArguments) method specify that the data source should perform some additional work while retrieving data to enable paging or sorting through the retrieved data, but the data source control does not support the requested capability.
The SqlDataSource cannot establish a connection with the underlying data source.
The Select method calls the ExecuteSelect method, passing the selectArgs
parameter.
The ExecuteSelect method returns a DataView object, if the DataSourceMode property is set to the DataSet value or it returns a IDataReader object, if the DataSourceMode property is set to the DataReader value. Close the IDataReader object when you have finished reading the data.
