I plan to install WDS with DHCP , however I read that WDS need to install to computer which has active directory services or DC. In my case , can I install only active directory services only (not promote to DC) Is it any pros or cons by this method.
What is benefit of install only active directory services roles? is it any harm to my network? Is it will disturb DHCP functional? or split to another server will be better? Because I have 2 DC already and don't want to touch it. Just make it as DC role.
Could anyone please explain this to me will be pleasure.

WDS server must be a member of a active directory domain. There is no requirement to install Active Directory services on the WDS server itself.
