A fully managed end-to-end service for digitally signing code, documents, and applications. (formerly Trusted Signing)
Seven days isn't unusual for Artifact Signing yet. Microsoft's quickstart says organization identity validation takes 1 to 20 business days, and longer if the validation team asks you for more documents. The FAQ also says requests can't be expedited.
While you wait, check these so it doesn't stall on your side:
- Check the primary and secondary email inboxes you entered, including spam. The validation team sends verification links and document requests there, and those links expire after seven days. If one expired, you'll need to start a new request.
- In the portal, open your Artifact Signing account > Identity validation and look at the request's status details. If it asks for documents, upload them. You get three attempts, and documents must be issued within the last 12 months.
- Make sure your company's public records (business registry, website, domain registration) show the same legal name and address you entered. Mismatches are the most common reason for delays.
- Don't create a second request for the same organization. The FAQ says duplicate requests don't help.
If it passes 20 business days with no email from the validation team, open a support request from the Azure portal and include the identity validation request ID.
Did you receive a verification email after submitting the request?
If the validation completes, please consider accepting it as the answer. If it's still stuck after 20 business days, let me know and I'll be happy to keep helping.
