Greetings i am finding it hard to implement my stripe atlas azure credits into my Microsoft azure account. according to the steps here in the guide https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/startups/microsoft-for-startups/application?tabs=NoInvestor, i completed step 1 and 2 but when i get to step 3 instead of being greetings with a $200 credits offer to connect my Linkedin account i get the the message "You're not eligible for the Microsoft for Startups credit offer" even though i followed the step 1 and 2 do you know why, use the images attached to understand how my dashboard looks like, keep in mind that i created the Microsoft azure account the day before this message.Screenshot 2026-10-26 112750

i did get the $200 credit option as a notification (use this info if it relevant in the question) Screenshot 2026-10-26 121810

do you know what i can do to ensure that i am eligible for to redeem my start up credits from stripe atlas, is it perhaps i have entered the wrong details or my authentication process implementation was wrong? i need advice Screenshot 2026-10-26 113340

Submit a Microsoft for Startups Program Support request to have the Stripe Atlas entitlement and your Microsoft account binding reviewed, because Microsoft’s activation guidance directs the exact “You aren't eligible for this offer” error to Program Support.^1^

    What the screenshots indicate

    • The $200 remaining notification indicates that a $200 Azure credit subscription was provisioned.
    • The Stripe Atlas page advertises a separate Microsoft for Startups partner benefit and invites you to apply. It does not show that the partner benefit has already been approved or attached to your Azure account.
    • Creating the Azure account as part of the documented signup process is not, by itself, evidence that you caused the rejection. The screenshots do not reveal the actual eligibility decision or identity binding.

Do not upgrade the $200 subscription to pay-as-you-go merely to fix this message, and do not create another Microsoft account unless Program Support instructs you to; either action could complicate ownership of the benefit.

    1. Verify the Stripe Atlas application route

Open the Microsoft benefit from the Stripe Atlas perks page, rather than starting a separate no-referral application.

    Check whether Stripe provides either:

    • a dedicated partner application link, or
    • a 10-character investor referral code.

Microsoft’s partner/investor application path requires entering that code at the Apply for Microsoft for Startups screen. Without a code, the application follows the standard no-referral path instead.^2^

If Stripe’s benefit only displays Apply and provides neither a code nor a dedicated link, ask Stripe Atlas support how its Microsoft partner entitlement is issued. The perks listing alone is not enough to determine the required redemption mechanism.

    2. Open the Microsoft support request

    In the Azure portal:

    1. Open the Microsoft for Startups Program Overview page.
    2. Select the Overview tab.
    3. Find Your Microsoft Team.
    4. Select Get program support.
    5. Choose the category for Azure Sponsorship/Startup Credits or benefit activation.

Program Support handles application status, startup-credit activation, incorrect sponsorship offer types, entitlement ownership, and business verification.^3^

If that button is unavailable, use Microsoft’s documented Startup support entry point:

    https://aka.ms/startuphelp-mfs-portal

    Include:

    • The exact message: “You're not eligible for the Microsoft for Startups credit offer.”
    • A screenshot of the Stripe Atlas Microsoft benefit.
    • A screenshot showing the $200 Azure credit.
    • The date you created the Azure account and the date you attempted the Stripe benefit.
    • Whether Stripe supplied a referral code or dedicated application link.
    • Confirmation that you used the same personal Microsoft account throughout—do not post the email address publicly.
    • Your startup’s registered legal name and country, without posting sensitive billing data.

Ask Support to verify these specific items:

    1. Whether the Stripe Atlas partner referral entitlement reached Microsoft.
    2. Whether it is bound to the same personal Microsoft account used for Azure.
    3. Whether you entered through the correct partner/referral application route.
    4. Whether the existing $200 sponsorship conflicts with activation of the Stripe-linked offer.
    5. Whether the application is pending, declined, or attached to another identity.
    6. Whether the startup name, region, or business-verification record needs correction.

    Account and application checks

The application must use a personal consumer Microsoft account, not a work, school, or company-domain account. The startup must also meet the program criteria, including being an eligible early-stage B2B technology company, privately held, and headquartered in a supported region.^2^

For the partner route, the registered startup name and address should match the legal documents. A mismatch can cause business verification to fail. If an application has already been submitted, it cannot be edited directly; Program Support can clarify whether it must be deleted or whether reapplication is permitted.^4^

The existing $200 balance can be checked under Azure portal → Cost Management + Billing → Payment methods, but allow up to 24 hours for a successfully activated credit balance to update.^1^
