Artifact Signing organization validation: how to check for a missing requirement after a document upload with Basic support?

Our Artifact Signing organization identity validation remains In Progress after we uploaded the requested domain-ownership evidence on 22 October 2026. The portal shows the document as Uploaded, with no new Action Required instruction. We checked the primary mailbox, including spam, and found no further document request.

We understand the published processing window is 1–20 business days and that duplicate requests do not expedite validation. We are not asking to bypass the validation or claiming that this processing window has elapsed.

We tried a private Azure support request to establish whether there is an actionable missing requirement. The technical support workflow requires a paid support plan. A Basic subscription-management request explaining this routing limitation was then closed with an AI-generated response directing us to purchase technical support. No one confirmed whether our existing identity request has a missing step.

The Artifact Signing quickstart directs identity-validation issues to Microsoft Q&A. Could a Microsoft moderator advise:

  1. How can we distinguish normal review from an incomplete email, representative-identity or document step when the portal only says In Progress?
  2. Is there an official no-cost private channel where the validation team can check the existing request and confirm document receipt/sufficiency?
  3. If a moderator needs the validation or closed support-case ID, how can we provide it privately through an official Microsoft channel?

We will not post identity documents, account/subscription/tenant IDs, addresses, email addresses or private signing material publicly. We can provide the existing case reference privately if an official secure route is available.

    Hi Ile,

An “In Progress” status after uploading domain-ownership evidence does not necessarily indicate a missing requirement. Since the document shows as uploaded and no further action is requested, the validation may still be under review.

I recommend monitoring the Azure portal and email for updates. If you need clarification, post your question on Microsoft Q&A, as recommended in the Artifact Signing quickstart, and ask a moderator for guidance on the appropriate escalation route.

Avoid creating duplicate validation requests. Do not post identity documents or subscription details publicly.

Thank you, and feel free to respond back for more assistance.
