Sign in with a personal Microsoft account, open the Credentials Support request link twice if the first attempt shows “No Access,” and switch to Microsoft’s personal-user tenant if Engage Center offers that option.
Submit the credentials request
Since the normal link failed, retry it in this specific order:
- Sign out of Microsoft Learn and Engage Center.
- Sign in to Microsoft Learn with an active personal Microsoft account, rather than the expired school account.
- Open the Credentials Support request.
- If the first attempt returns “You don’t have access to this view,” open the same link a second time after sign-in. This two-attempt workaround has resolved the same Engage Center access pattern for some users.^1^
- If Engage Center identifies the account as a guest/personal account or displays Switch Tenant, select Microsoft’s tenant or personal-user sign-in option, and then reopen the support link.
When the form loads, select:
- Product family: Learning
- Product or Service: Microsoft Credentials
- Type of Support: Professional No Charge
- Preferred contact method: Email
Credentials Support is email-only; selecting phone does not create a phone-support route.^2^
Include:
- Your current Learn username
- The certification or exam names and approximate completion dates
- The expired school email address
- Candidate/certification IDs, registration IDs, or exam-provider records, if available
- Screenshots of the Engage Center error
- A request to locate the old credential profile and merge or associate it with the current personal-account profile
Your Learn username is under Microsoft Learn → profile picture → Settings → Personal Info, username and URL.^3^
Do not post candidate IDs, email addresses, or other account details publicly in Q&A.
If Engage Center still blocks access
If the question-mark icon is visible in Engage Center:
- Select the ? icon at the top.
- Open Engage Center Help.
- Under How can we help?, request assistance or open a platform support case.
- Explain that the Credentials Support entry produces “You don’t have access to this view” and that Directories + subscriptions displays “No directories found.”
This route addresses the Engage Center access failure; it does not itself guarantee restoration of the certification record.^4^
There is no separately documented public Credentials Support email address or phone channel. Microsoft Q&A moderators cannot access or move certification records.
Check where the certification is stored
While waiting for support:
- Try every personal, work, or school login that may have been used when registering for the exam. The contact email receiving certification messages is not necessarily the profile’s login account.^5^
- If another accessible Learn profile contains the credentials, Learn profiles can be merged, including their certification data.^3^
- If the school exam was delivered through Certiport, those credentials currently do not appear in Microsoft Learn and must be managed through the Certiport account instead.^5^
- If the old Learn profile had only the expired school account attached, Microsoft cannot recover that school login account. Credentials Support can still investigate whether the certification records can be found or associated using the identifying exam information supplied.^3^
After recovery, keep a personal Microsoft account attached to the Learn profile so access does not depend on a school or employer account.
