Hello Team

My AZ-900 exam session was revoked, and the exam supervisor instructed me to correct my name on the Microsoft page.

My legal name is Shilpa V. My Aadhaar card and passport show Venkatesh Shilpa. My Microsoft Learn profile displays Venkatesh Shilpa, while my Pearson VUE registration shows Shilpa V.

I am unable to access the Microsoft Credentials Support page because it displays an access-denied message.

Could you please advise me on the correct procedure to resolve this name discrepancy, update my certification profile if required, and address my revoked exam session?

Thank you for your assistance.

You can update your Legal name on your Microsoft Learn profile under Settings https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings

If you have an exam booked, you will be shown a message and link to contact Microsoft Credentials support https://aka.ms/credentials-support

    Use this sequence:

    1. Sign in to the Learn profile that is tied to the exam registration.
    2. Open profile Settings and update the Legal Name so it exactly matches the name on the government ID that will be presented on exam day.
    3. If the profile shows a message that the legal name change requires further review, submit a case with Credentials Support.
    4. When submitting the support request:
      • Product family: Learning
      • Product or Service: Microsoft Credentials
      • Type of Support: Professional No Charge
      • Preferred contact method: Email
      • Include a clear summary of the name mismatch between Learn and Pearson VUE
      • Include the Learn username from Learn Settings
      • Attach screenshots of the error and the name discrepancy
    5. For the revoked exam session and the Pearson VUE name mismatch, also contact Pearson VUE Support, because exam delivery issues and appointment issues are handled by the exam delivery partner.

    Important details:

    • The first and last name used to register must match exactly the first and last name on the ID presented on test day.
    • If a legal name is missing or does not match the legal ID, the exam cannot be taken.
    • From the Learn profile, exam appointments can be rescheduled or canceled in one place.
    • Credentials Support is available through email, not phone.

    For the access-denied page:

    • If the access-denied message is occurring in the support portal, try basic browser checks:
      1. Clear the browser cache.
      2. Make sure the password is correct and not expired.
      3. Make sure verification/security info is current.
    • If access is still denied after that, contact the organization help desk if the sign-in is using a work or school account.

If the support page still cannot be accessed, use the Learn profile settings first to attempt the legal name correction, then use the Credentials Support flow again from the online support request page.
