Azure Free Account Created but $200 Credit and Entra ID Free License Not Showing

I created a new Azure account today specifically for learning and testing Azure services. The subscription is active and shows Azure Plan, but under Cost Management & Billing → Benefits/Azure Credits, no Azure credits are displayed.

I also expected my user/tenant to have the Microsoft Entra ID Free license included with the Azure Free Account, but the corresponding free license does not appear to be assigned/available.

I am trying to learn Azure and specifically want to test dynamic user/group membership based on queries, but I am currently blocked because the expected free benefits/licensing and Azure credits are not visible.

A ₹2 (INR) verification charge was also deducted from my payment method during signup, but I still cannot see any Azure Free Account credit or related benefit.

Could you please verify whether my Azure Free Account and its $200 credit / Microsoft Entra ID Free entitlement were provisioned correctly, and advise when they should become visible?

The account appears to be active, but the expected free-account benefits are not yet visible in the current billing scope or directory.

    Supported checks:

    1. Verify the subscription type in Azure portal → Subscriptions.
      • If the subscription created at sign-up is the free-account subscription, it should be the one associated with the free benefits.
      • If only Azure Plan is shown, that does not confirm that the Azure free-account credit was provisioned.
    2. Check the free-service expiration area in Azure portal → All services → Subscriptions → select the subscription created at sign-up.
      • Scroll to the free services grid.
      • Select the tooltip at the top-left of that grid to see when free-account benefits expire.
    3. Check billing views for credit/usage.
      • In Cost Management + Billing, review the billing scope and usage views.
      • If free credit was provisioned, usage and remaining credit should be visible in the billing experience.
    4. Check the Microsoft Entra tenant and billing locations for Microsoft Entra ID Free.
      • The Microsoft Entra ID Free subscription appears under All Billing Subscriptions in the Microsoft Entra admin center and the Azure portal.
      • It also appears on the Your products page in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
      • Microsoft Entra ID Free is automatically added to the billing account. No separate action is required, and there is no charge for it.
    5. If the free credit or Entra ID Free subscription still does not appear, create a support request in the Azure portal.
      • The documented path for billing-account issues is to create a support request.
      • This is the correct next step when provisioning or billing entitlements do not appear as expected.

    Important clarifications:

    • The small card charge is consistent with identity/payment verification. Microsoft documents that a credit card is required for Microsoft Entra ID Free verification, and that the card is not charged for the product itself.
    • The Azure free account includes $200 credit for the first 30 days and limited free services for up to 12 months, but only if the free-account offer was successfully provisioned.
    • Dynamic user/group membership based on queries is not included in the provided material as part of Microsoft Entra ID Free. The documented free services are:
      1. User and group management
      2. On-premises directory synchronization
      3. Basic reports
      4. Self-service password change for cloud users
      5. Single sign-on across Azure, Microsoft 365, and many popular SaaS apps
