I have a file within an email that needs to be saved in the shared drive. I don't know how to do that.

Hi McGovern,

If your "shared drive" is actually a SharePoint document library, you can't directly save your attachment and you will have to manually move it.

  1. Open the attachment in Outlook.
  2. Select Save to OneDrive (if available).
  3. Move or copy the file from OneDrive to the appropriate shared folder.

If this doesn't align with your current situation, please tell me some information:

  1. Are you using Outlook desktop, new Outlook, or Outlook on the web?
  2. Is the file an email attachment, or is it a link to a file?
  3. When you say "shared drive," are you referring to a network drive, a SharePoint document library, or a Teams Files location?
  4. Do you currently have access to the shared drive location where the file needs to be saved?
  5. Are you receiving any errors when attempting to save the file?

To ensure I provide the most accurate assistance, I would appreciate any additional information you can share regarding your current situation. If possible, please include screenshots, as they can be very helpful.
