Each invoice shows a charge for a Developer Support plan that is NOT listed as a subscription I can managed.

Each monthly invoice charges me $29.00 for a Developer Support plan I never subscribed to and is not listed as one of my subscriptions. Each invoice shows the $29.00 charge, but Developer Support is not in Cost Analysis -- not a service or subscription.

I've found no way to create a support ticket to cancel the service the system doesn't acknowledge as a subscription but continues to charge me for.

How can I get a human to intervene in this Catch-22?

Thanks!

Hi @Dan Webb -- Work (organization: danwebbdotcom) ,

Are you able to follow my instructions below to set renewal to Off? Please give them a try and reply back with your results.

In the Azure portal, please navigate to Cost Management + Billing using link below:

    https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microsoft_Azure_GTM/ModernBillingMenuBlade

On left, click Products + services -- All billing subscriptions blade. Click on context menu (three dots) to the right of the Microsoft Azure Support line and choose Change renewal setting.

    User's image

In the flyout window on right, select Off and click Save.

The above will cause your Developer support plan to expire on the date shown and not be automatically renewed.

Use the Azure portal path for billing support, even if the Developer Support plan is not showing where expected.

    1. In the Azure portal, open Help + Support and start Create a support request.
    2. Enter Billing, select the Billing issue, choose the affected subscription, and continue.
    3. When suggested articles or refund options appear, do not select them. Select Create a support request at the top.
    4. Complete the case with Issue type = Billing, then choose the closest problem type and problem subtype for the unwanted Developer Support plan charge.
    5. If the portal shows recommendations again, select Return to support request and continue.
    6. Fill in the required details, clearly stating that:
      • monthly invoices include a $29 Developer Support plan charge
      • the support plan is not listed as a manageable subscription/service
      • the charge appears on invoices but not in Cost Analysis
      • cancellation is blocked because the plan is not exposed in the portal
    7. Submit the request. An automated email should arrive within a few minutes, followed by contact from support.

If the support plan does appear under billing subscriptions, turn off renewal to stop future charges:

    1. Go to Cost Management + Billing.
    2. Select All Billing Subscription.
    3. Open the support plan details.
    4. Select Cancel.
    5. Set auto-renewal to Off.

Important: cancelling an Azure Support plan does not provide a prorated refund, and billing continues for the rest of the month.
