Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
A newly created business email account may take some time before it is ready to use. Once the account has been assigned a license that includes Exchange Online, please allow up to 24 hours for the mailbox to be created and become available.
If more than 24 hours have passed and the mailbox is still unavailable, please ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to follow the steps in Delays in provisioning a user or mailbox. They can check the license assignment, look for account validation errors, review Service health, and run the available diagnostic.
Should the mailbox remain unavailable after these checks, the administrator can contact Microsoft Support through the Microsoft 365 admin center by following the instructions in Get support in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation, verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can escalate it to a specialized team for deeper analysis.
- If you're not sure who your organization's Microsoft 365 admin is, use the following guidance: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?
- For additional assistance, you can find the appropriate telephone number on the Customer Service phone numbers page. (Choose Work account scroll down to Technical support phone numbers and find the Phone number of your country)
- For subscriptions managed through a Microsoft partner or reseller, the administrator can contact that provider for assistance.
Note: If you're an end user, you should coordinate with your Office 365 global administrator to perform these steps.
I hope this clarifies how you should proceed. Feel free to get back to me if you have any further information or questions.
