Users are still seeing the scary smartscreen warning 6+ weeks after starting Artifact Signing, is this typical?

    Yes, this can still happen after six weeks. Artifact Signing provides a trusted digital signature, but it does not automatically remove SmartScreen warnings. Microsoft states that reputation builds over time based on factors such as download volume, history, and application behavior, and there is no fixed timeframe or download threshold.

    Microsoft indicates that several weeks and hundreds of clean installs may be needed for a new publisher. If your files are correctly signed and the verified publisher name appears, I would continue using the same signing identity consistently.

    However, if the warning persists despite significant clean download volume, Microsoft recommends submitting the signed file through the Microsoft Security Intelligence portal for review.
