Cannot open any documents that use Adobe programs, Word, AutoCad or anything that goes to OneDrive, which is everything. These are legal documents, I've spent hours on the phone with Adobe, and with my tech and they both point to OneDrive

Can't even select a tag. And what is this "parent" and "child" thing? I have no kids, no family groups.

    Dear Barbara Feldman Interiors,

Based on your description, kindly try these steps:

Protect the documents first: Do not delete, rename, reset, or reinstall anything until you confirm the files are visible online or have a separate copy.

Select the OneDrive cloud in the Windows taskbar, then resolve any displayed sign-in, storage, sync, or connection issue. Troubleshoot the "Can’t open file" error in OneDrive | Microsoft Support

From the OneDrive menu, select View online and try opening one document there. If the website also does not work, your organization’s administrator should check the Microsoft 365 Service health dashboard because a service issue can prevent access to OneDrive content.

If the document works online, return to File Explorer, right-select one affected file, and make it available on the device before opening it. Online-only files cannot open when OneDrive’s Files On-Demand connection is not working. What do the OneDrive error codes mean? | Microsoft Support

In Word, select File, then Account. Confirm that Word and the OneDrive cloud menu show the same Microsoft account; mismatched accounts can cause permission and upload issues.

Close Word, Adobe, AutoCAD, and any other application using these documents, restart the computer, and test one file again. An application holding a file open can prevent OneDrive from processing it.

If it still does not work, select the OneDrive cloud > Help & Settings > Settings > Account > Unlink this PC, then sign in again with the correct account.

If OneDrive itself will not start, install current Windows and OneDrive updates, restart Windows, and open OneDrive from Start. Antivirus file-system filters can sometimes block Files On-Demand.

Note: If these are organizational legal records, do not clear credentials or reset OneDrive until your technician verifies which work or personal account owns the files.

If the issue persists, I recommend you contacting your IT Admins and ask them to raise a support ticket. A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can refer it to a specialized team for deeper analysis.

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction.
