Hello,

My guest account ([Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]@turntown.com) has been locked, and I am receiving the following error during sign-in:

"Your account has been locked. Contact your support person to unlock it, then try again."

I am an external guest user and currently do not know who the original sponsor/administrator is that granted access to the tenant. As a result, I am unable to identify the appropriate support contact for unlocking the account.

Could you please advise:

  1. How I can identify the sponsoring tenant administrator or account owner?
  2. Whether there is a Microsoft support team that can help route this request to the correct administrator?
  3. Any steps I can take to regain access to the guest account?

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards, [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]

    Dear @Somil Mehra,

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that your guest account has been locked, and you're unable to sign in. As an external guest user, you do not know who the sponsoring administrator or account owner is, so you need assistance identifying the correct contact and understanding the available options to regain access.

As this is a guest account, the account is owned and managed by the organization that invited you into their tenant.

Please note that this is a community forum where users help one another. I do not have visibility into the guest user or administrator for guest accounts and cannot unlock the account on their behalf.

For security and privacy reasons, only the hosting organization's administrator can review and unlock the account. Therefore, I recommend reaching out to the person, project owner, business contact, or organization that originally provided you with access, as they would be best positioned to identify the appropriate administrator and assist with restoring access.Kindly let me know when there are updates or if you need further assistance.

Thank you for your kindness and patience!
