A Microsoft offering that enables tracking of cloud usage and expenditures for Azure and other cloud providers.
If payment was already processed and the subscription still shows past due, the supported next step is to contact Azure support.
Supported checks and actions:
- In the Azure portal, open the disabled subscription and check whether the banner still says:
- “This subscription is disabled because payment wasn’t received. Settle outstanding charges.”
- or “The billing profile for your subscription has a past due balance. Settle the past due balance to reactivate your subscription.”
- If the banner is present, select it to open the billing area:
- For Microsoft Customer Agreement subscriptions, it opens Invoice in the Billing Profile scope.
- For Microsoft Online Subscription Program subscriptions such as pay-as-you-go, it opens Settle Balance.
- If the balance shows 0 due but the subscription is still disabled, and payment was already processed, contact Azure support. This exact case is called out for support handling.
- After payment, reactivation can take up to 24 hours.
- After the subscription is reactivated, there can still be a delay in creating or managing resources. If that delay is more than 30 minutes, contact Azure Billing Support.
- Once reactivated, most resources resume automatically, but Azure recommends checking service resources and restarting them if necessary.
