    Hi @Scooby B

First, please feel free to check out the already given AI answer

May I as that what exact error message or code do you see now, and where are you trying to sign in, such as a browser, Outlook, Windows, or another app? Also, is this a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account?

Hope to hear from you soon

If the password was already changed and the message still says there were too many unsuccessful sign-in attempts, the account is likely still under a temporary security lock.

    1. Stop trying to sign in repeatedly for a while. Repeated attempts can keep the lock active.
    2. Use the Microsoft account Sign-in helper to check for account issues.
    3. If the password is correct but sign-in still fails, use Recover your account:
      • Enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name for the account.
      • Choose where to receive the security code.
      • Enter the code.
      • Set and confirm a new password if prompted.
    4. Make sure the sign-in name is correct, including the email domain such as .com vs .co.uk.
    5. If the account has another alias or phone number attached, try signing in with that instead.
    6. If support is needed, use Contact Microsoft Support. Support agents cannot send password reset links or change account details.
