Hello Azure Community,

I’m having an issue accessing my Azure for Students subscription and I’m hoping someone from Microsoft/Azure Support can help me investigate it.

I originally signed up for Azure for Students using my school account, and my student eligibility was successfully verified. However, I am now unable to access the Azure subscription.

When I try to access the Azure Portal, I receive the following error:

AADSTS50058 – UserInformationNotProvided “Session information isn't sufficient for single-sign-on. This means that a user isn't signed in.”

The portal also says:

“A silent sign-in request was sent but no user is signed in.”

I have already tried signing out, signing back in, and using different browser sessions, but the issue persists.

I am currently able to sign in with my school account, but I am trying to understand how my personal Microsoft account can access/use the Azure for Students subscription. My school account has already been used for the student verification, so I cannot simply use it to redeem Azure for Students again.

I also tried creating an Azure support request, but the support process keeps redirecting me to troubleshooting pages instead of allowing me to reach a support agent.

Error details

  • Error: AADSTS50058
  • Trace ID: 9f33e6fd-fc25-4ba0-9996-847b5231300
  • Correlation ID: d9b96bef-06ca-4f6f-b0f2-994c9ee32314
  • Timestamp: 2026-09-09 15:19:38Z

Could a Microsoft employee or Azure moderator please help me determine:

  1. Whether my existing Azure for Students subscription still exists.
  2. Which Microsoft account/Entra tenant the subscription is associated with.
  3. Whether my personal Microsoft account can be granted access to the existing subscription.
  4. How I can resolve the AADSTS50058 authentication issue.
  5. How I can open a support case if the Azure support portal continues to loop me through troubleshooting pages.

I am not trying to redeem a second Azure for Students subscription. I am trying to recover/access the existing one.

I can provide additional account or subscription information privately if required.
