my emails are staying in the outbox and not sending whilst using the new version of outlook

Yes, please switch back to New Outlook and try sending a simple test email without an attachment.

If it remains in the Outbox, delete the stuck message and create a new one. You can also test sending from Outlook on the web at https://outlook.office.com.

Please let me know whether the email sends successfully from the web version.

Hi Dyari I'm using Microsoft 365 , outlook updates automatically on my mac ,the new version of outlook was working normally , today was the first time emails became stuck in the outbox, should i revert back to the new outlook and try the points you suggest

Since emails send normally in Legacy Outlook, in Outlook, select Tools and make sure it is set to Online.

Open Outbox and delete the oldest stuck message, especially if it has a large attachment.

Select Help > Check for Updates, install all updates, and restart Outlook.

Test by sending a simple email without an attachment.

If it still fails, what type of account are you using? Outlook.com, Microsoft 365, Gmail, or another provider? Do you see any error message?
