Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Changing the verification email cannot be done through a support request or LinkedIn verification.
If the password is known but access to some security info is lost:
- Sign in to the Advanced security options page.
- Select Add a new way to sign in or verify.
- Confirm the new method with the security code sent to it.
- Remove the old verification method you no longer use.
If the password is known but access to all security info is lost:
- Start signing in to the Microsoft account.
- At Verify your identity, select I don't have any of these.
- Follow the steps to replace the security info.
- After replacement, there is a 30-day wait before sign-in is allowed.
If the password is not known and there is no access to any security info:
- Use the Sign-in Helper first.
- If needed, submit the account recovery form.
- Complete the recovery form from a device and location previously used for that account, if possible.
- Microsoft reviews the answers and responds within 24 hours.
Important limits:
- If two-step verification is turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support agents cannot send password reset links or change account details.
- Do not change all security info at the same time unless necessary, because the account may be restricted for 30 days.
- If the account has not been signed in to for more than 2 years, it may have been deleted.
