Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Hi Kenneth,
Thanks for sharing your experience.
I tested this on my side by opening multiple email windows and then force-closing Classic Outlook. After reopening Outlook, the previously opened email windows were not restored.
Since Outlook includes an option to reopen items from the previous session, it is certainly reasonable to expect previously opened email windows to be restored when Outlook is reopened.
However, this is a user-to-user community forum, and no one here has the ability to influence product decisions or changes in Outlook's behavior directly. For that reason, I would suggest submitting feedback through the Feedback Portal, where the Outlook product team can review customer feedback and assess potential improvements.
I also found an existing feedback item that appears to describe the same issue: When Outlook crashing, previous session emails do not re open. You may wish to vote for that feedback item and add a comment with details of your experience. Additional votes and comments can help give the product team better visibility into the impact of the issue.
Hopefully this helps point you in the right direction. If you decide to create a new feedback item instead, feel free to come back and share the link here. I'd be happy to upvote it as well to help increase its visibility.
