If possible, please run a test: create a local account on the computers in question, grant the necessary permissions, and try connecting. I believe you are likely using the same Microsoft account for Windows on both computers.

If that fails, run the following commands in Windows PowerShell (as administrator):

Set-SmbClientConfiguration -RequireSecuritySignature $false

Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters" RequireSecureNegotiate -Value 0 -Force

Restart the computer and try again.

It has nothing to do with the users' SID. It's the SID of the computer account. This would only impact you if you were using virtual machines that you cloned from a base install, or used some disk copying tool to clone an existing pc and used that to build the other pc's OS.

You can use the psgetsid tool from Microsoft's Sysinternals toolkit to display the SID.

That's the sid for your meltg user account.

The sid for the acctsreceivable pc is the same just without the -1002 at the end.

If you have duplicate computer sid's you can install the known issue rollback. See the download.microsoft.com link from user GTS-NJ.

I have this command in my notes. Run that and reboot on one pc and see if that works.
