Personal account switches to closed business account when I try to save a document

I cancelled my GoDaddy Business 365 account and changed to a personal account at Microsoft.com. When I try to access the Ondrive in my personal account it switches to business and won't let me save.

Former business account: Leadership Dynamics - we tried to transfer the name, but no one knew how to do that.

So, I created a personal account with Microsoft: [Removed PII]@gmail.com
I can sign into that account, but can't save documents. I also can't access documents in the old OneDrive even though they are saved to my device.

What can I do next?

    Hi @Ann Meacham

It appears Office and OneDrive are still connected to the former Leadership Dynamics business account, even though you now use a personal account.

    Please try the following:

    1. First, copy any important files currently stored on the device to a separate local folder, such as Documents, so you have a backup.
    2. In Word or Excel, select File > Account, sign out of the old business account, and close all Office apps.
    3. Select the OneDrive cloud icon near the clock, then Help & Settings > Settings > Account > Unlink this PC.
    4. Reopen OneDrive and sign in with your personal Microsoft account. Make sure you choose Personal account if prompted.
    5. In Word, use File > Save As and select either your personal OneDrive or a local folder under This PC.

Unlinking OneDrive does not delete locally available files. It only disconnects the computer from that OneDrive account. How to remove an account in OneDrive

The personal and former business OneDrive accounts are separate storage locations, so creating the personal account would not automatically transfer the business files. If the old business account has already been closed and the files were not fully downloaded to the device, you will need to contact GoDaddy support to check whether the former account or OneDrive data can still be restored.

    Hope this helps.
