Setting up future meetings with participants using Teams calendar or Outlook integration
Hi Stacey OT,
As the forum’s AI recommended, please try canceling the meeting through Outlook on the web using the same work account you use in Teams.
Could you first confirm whether you are the meeting organizer? Microsoft states that only the organizer can send a meeting cancellation. If someone else organized it, removing your own calendar entry does not cancel the meeting for everyone. Cancel a meeting
If you are the organizer and have not yet tried the Outlook web steps above, select Cancel > All events in the series, then send the cancellation. These options are documented in Microsoft’s guidance: Cancel a meeting or delete an appointment in Outlook on the web.
If you have already tried this and it failed, please confirm:
- Does the meeting appear in Outlook on the web, and can you open it? What exact error appears when you try to cancel it there?
- Are you using Teams on desktop, in a browser, or on mobile?
- Are participants receiving calendar pop-up reminders or new meeting-related emails?
The error message alone does not confirm the cause. These details will help me narrow down the next troubleshooting step.
