    Dear @Surf0930,

Based on your description, if you receive an "Invalid recipient" error when sending an email, it means that the email service cannot recognize or validate one or more of the recipient addresses.

For better understanding your situation, could you please provide some more information as:

    1. The email client being used (Outlook, Outlook on the web, etc.).
    2. Whether the issue occurs with a single recipient or multiple recipients.
    3. Could you please help me reconfirm whether you were sending the email using your company email address (for example, @domain.com), or was this a different scenario?

In the meantime, here are some suggestions you can try:

    • Verify that the recipient's email address is entered correctly.
    • Remove the recipient from the To field and manually type the full email address.
    • If the message is addressed to multiple recipients, try sending to each recipient individually to identify the invalid address.
    • Send a test email to yourself to confirm that email sending is working.
    • Restart the email client and try again.

If you have tried all the methods above but the issue still persists, please provide information as my previous questions above so I can support you more effectively.

    Looking forward to your update.

Invalid recipient means Outlook could not use one or more recipient email addresses in the message. In Outlook and Outlook.com, this usually means the address is wrong, no longer exists, or Outlook is using a bad saved AutoComplete entry.

    Try these fixes:

    1. Check the recipient address for typos.
    2. Delete the recipient from the To field and type the full address again.
    3. If the address appears from AutoComplete, remove that saved suggestion and re-enter the address manually.
    4. If this happened on a reply or forward, start a new email and add the recipient again.
    5. If the address is correct but still fails, ask the recipient whether they have a new address.
    6. If the error report shows a different address than the one entered, the recipient might have a forwarding rule pointing to an invalid address.

If the message is also returning a delivery failure notice, common causes include:

    • invalid email address
    • mailbox not found or user unknown
    • domain lookup failed or host unknown
    • recipient mailbox full

If the recipient is internal and several people are seeing the same problem in Outlook on the web, the organization address directory may need to be reviewed by IT.
