    1. Go to the OneDrive website and search there first. That is the best place to look because all synced devices store files there. Use Search everything and search by filename, description, date, or place.
    2. Check Recycle bin on the left side of the OneDrive website.
      • Files deleted from Personal Vault only appear there if Personal Vault is unlocked before checking the recycle bin.
      • In the recycle bin, select Show Personal Vault items to unlock the vault and view those deleted items.
      • If the command is not shown, Personal Vault is already unlocked.
    3. If the files were deleted from Personal Vault on a Windows 10 PC, they do not appear in the PC Recycle Bin. If those files had already uploaded to OneDrive, they can still appear in the OneDrive.com recycle bin.
    4. Check whether the files are in another Microsoft account. If files were saved while signed in with a different account, sign out of OneDrive and sign in again with the other account.
    5. Search the local device in case the files were saved outside OneDrive or had not synced yet:
      • Use File Explorer to search the PC.
      • Check the PC Recycle Bin.
    6. If using a Microsoft 365 subscription, try Restore your OneDrive to roll the OneDrive back to an earlier point within the last 30 days.
      • Caution: files and folders created after the restore point are moved to the OneDrive Recycle Bin.
    7. If the files are not found in search, Personal Vault, or the OneDrive Recycle Bin, they usually cannot be retrieved.

Since these files were in Personal Vault, you should first unlock the Vault and then check the OneDrive Recycle Bin again. Deleted Personal Vault files may not appear there until the Vault is unlocked. If they’re still missing, and you have Microsoft 365, check Settings > Restore your OneDrive and see if you can restore it to a point from before the files disappeared.

You should also make sure you’re signed into the correct Microsoft account and check OneDrive.com directly rather than only the app.

    Hello Gerson Madrid,

I can see that you are having issue with OneDrive person

Could you check whether the missing PDFs appear when you open Personal Vault from another browser, the OneDrive mobile app, or another device? This will help determine whether the files are missing from OneDrive itself or whether the Windows app is failing to display them.

If the PDFs are absent everywhere, please note the approximate time they were last visible, their filenames, and the devices that accessed the Vault during that period. You can then contact Microsoft Support and provide those details so they can check for an account or service-side issue. However, support agents cannot open or inspect the contents of your files.

Because the documents are important, also check whether copies exist in recent email attachments, browser downloads, PDF application recent-file lists, Windows File History, or any other backup service you use.

I hope another device or backup location still has a copy of the PDFs.

Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.
