I am the only administrator of my Microsoft business/domain account but I have lost access to the old recovery email. My mobile number still works

    Dear Merle,

Since the mobile number is still working, start there. On the verification screen, select "Sign in another way" or "I can't use this method right now" and check whether SMS or a phone call is offered. Losing the alternate email does not necessarily block you, as long as the phone method was registered on the account. One thing to keep in mind is that alternate methods only appear if they were registered in advance, so it is worth confirming what the screen actually offers you.

To point you in the right direction, could you share a few more details?

    • What exact message appears when you sign in?
    • Is the password accepted before verification is requested?
    • Is SMS or a phone call offered as an option?
    • Can you reach admin.microsoft.com, or is only Outlook blocked?

If no verification method works at all and you are the sole admin, the recovery path runs through Microsoft Support with domain ownership verification, which is something I can walk you through once we know where the sign in is failing. Looking forward to your reply.
