Dear Microsoft

Good afternoon.

My annual subscription charge is over £100 per annum now, and I cannot access my personal vault folder. I am asked to sign, when I already have signed in, only to be presented with an error - unknown rendor failure.

I am really disappointed with this service.

    Hi David,

    Multiple reports for Vault not opening with a render failure error are seen in the last few weeks. Are you on the web version? If so, did you try the Windows version, or vice versa?

    If Personal Vault is asking to sign in again and then shows an error, the supported steps are:

    1. Unlock Personal Vault.
    2. Close any files that are stored in Personal Vault.
    3. Wait for OneDrive sync to finish.
      • If there are many large files, increase the auto-lock time in OneDrive icon > Help and Settings > Settings > Account > Change Personal Vault auto-lock time.
    4. After sync completes, lock Personal Vault again and try reopening it.

    Additional supported checks:

    • Personal Vault locks automatically after inactivity. On the web it locks after 20 minutes by default. On mobile it locks after 3 minutes by default, and the lock time can be changed.
    • On a PC, Personal Vault appears as a shortcut in the file list, not in the folder list.
    • If files were opened from Personal Vault in Windows apps, file names can appear in Recent lists even when the vault is locked.
