Setting up future meetings with participants using Teams calendar or Outlook integration
Hi @Ahmed Aijaz
Since you mentioned purchasing a subscription, could you let me know which Teams subscription you purchased (for e.g. Microsoft Teams Essentials or Microsoft 365 Business Basic) Also, are you using Teams with a personal Microsoft account or a work or school account?
To help me understand the issue further, could you also clarify the following?
- Where are you scheduling the meeting: the Teams desktop app, Teams web, Teams mobile app, or Outlook?
- Does this happen with all attendees or only with external email addresses?
- After creating the meeting, does it appear in your Teams or Outlook calendar?
- When completing the meeting details, do you select Send, or do you only see an option to save or copy the meeting link?
- Have you already tried signing out of Teams and clearing the Teams cache?
If you have not cleared the cache, please follow the steps in Clear the Teams client cache, restart Teams, and sign back in. Clearing the cache may help if the issue is being caused by outdated or corrupted local Teams data
After clearing the Teams cache and signing back in, please create a test meeting using the following steps and make sure you create a scheduled meeting, rather than using Meet now or simply copying and sharing the meeting link.
- Open Teams and select Calendar
- Select New meeting or Schedule a meeting.
-
- Enter the meeting details.
- Add each attendee’s complete email address under Required attendees.
- Make sure each email address is recognized and displayed as an attendee.
- Select Send, rather than Save as draft.
-
For a Teams work or school account, selecting Send should send an email invitation containing the meeting link to the attendees. The meeting should also appear in the organizer’s Outlook calendar. For more information, see: Schedule a meeting in Microsoft Teams
Feel free to share the requested details when convenient. I look forward to hearing from you.
