I have tried all of your suggestions to get copilot to appear when using outlook on my iMac and they have not fixed the problem.

I have a correct microsoft subscription until March of 2027.

It seems that other people are having the same issue.

Please let me know what is going on.

Thank you

    @Barbara Kalb

Looks like this is a known issue. See the Comment by "Courtney Matthews Sep 6 2026" in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5994694/copilot-missing-from-outlook-for-mac-after-softwar

I just finished a chat with support; there is a known issue with entitlement synchronization that the engineers are working to address. Hopefully, we'll have a fix or more information soon.

For Outlook on iMac, the supported checks in the current guidance are:

    1. Look for the Copilot entry point in its new location. The Copilot button may not be on the ribbon anymore. In Microsoft 365 apps, Copilot has been consolidated into the Copilot Dynamic Action Button in the lower-right corner.
    2. Update Office for Mac to the latest build.
    3. Refresh the Microsoft 365 license:
      • Open any Microsoft 365 app.
      • Select the app name on the top menu.
      • Select About <app name>.
      • Select More Info...
      • Select Refresh License.
      • Close open documents and restart all Microsoft 365 apps.
    4. Check privacy settings in a Microsoft 365 app:
      • Open Word.
      • Select Word > Preferences > Privacy.
      • Confirm Experiences that analyze your content is turned on.
      • Confirm All connected experiences is turned on.
      • If Microsoft 365 is managed by an organization, these settings may be controlled by IT.

There is also evidence of broader Outlook/Copilot visibility issues affecting some users. One documented Outlook issue states that some users may be unable to see the Microsoft 365 Copilot button or open Copilot in Outlook clients, and another Outlook for Mac issue shows the Outlook team investigating feature problems on Mac.

If the license is active through March 2027 and the standard checks already did not help, this points to an Outlook-side issue rather than a subscription-expiration problem.
