For a personal Surface Pro 8 that is under warranty, the supported path is to create a Microsoft service order and send the device in for repair.
- First, check the warranty status at
https://account.microsoft.com/devices.- If the Surface Pro 8 is not listed, register the device first.
- If the warranty dates are incorrect, use the warranty update process with proof of purchase.
- Before requesting repair, Microsoft recommends troubleshooting with the Surface app or Surface Diagnostic Toolkit.
- If the issue continues, choose one of these service options:
- Send to Microsoft: create a service order and print a shipping label.
- Get in-person support: available in some countries or regions through Authorized Service Providers.
- Self-repair: available only for technically experienced users with the right tools.
- Before handing over or shipping the device, back up data. Service may erase data on the Surface.
If the device is in the United States, Microsoft partners with uBreakiFix by Asurion for local in-person Surface repairs.
