A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Hi KIM ZEISS,
If the workbook was saved with AutoSave enabled, there's a good chance the file still exists but may have been moved, synced to another location, or saved under an unexpected name.
As an additional check, try looking directly in your OneDrive online account:
- Sign in to OneDrive on the web.
- Use the search box and search for part of the workbook name or "2026".
- Check the Recent section to see recently opened or modified files.
- Review the Recycle Bin in case the file was accidentally removed.
You can also check whether you're signed into the same Microsoft account that was being used when the workbook was created, especially if you use multiple accounts for Microsoft 365 or OneDrive.
I hope you're able to locate the workbook. If not, please let us know whether the file was stored locally or in OneDrive, and whether you can see it in Excel's Recent list. That information can help narrow down the next steps.
