    Dear Lhymars Morado,

I understand that you’ve been locked out of Teams for so long, especially with school starting soon. Therefore, to help narrow down the cause, could you check the following and let me know:

    • What error message do you receive when trying to sign in to Teams?
    • Are you using the Teams desktop app, Teams in a browser, or both?
    • Is this a school account provided by your school, or a personal Microsoft account?
    • Have you tried signing in from a different browser (Edge, Chrome, etc.) or another device?

In the meantime, if you're using Teams web, please try to sign out of all Microsoft accounts in the browser, close the browser completely, then try again > Clear your browser cache and cookies. If possible, try restarting your device.

If you're using the Teams desktop app, please try to clear any cached Microsoft credentials:

    • Close Teams completely > Open Credential Manager > Select Windows Credentials.
    • Remove Microsoft 365, Teams, AzureAD, Office, or Microsoft-related credentials associated with the affected account.
    • Restart the computer > Launch Teams and sign in again.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to your update.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Make sure the correct account is being used.
      • If Teams shows only personal features like Activity, Community, Chat, and Calendar, or school items are missing, it may be signed in with a personal Microsoft account instead of the school account.
      • Sign in with the school account assigned by the school.
    2. If Teams shows a Sign in banner, select it and complete sign-in again.
      • Finish any prompts such as multi-factor authentication (MFA).
      • If the sign-in window does not open, check the taskbar notification area for the Teams icon with a badge.
      • If needed, quit Teams completely and reopen it.
    3. If repeated sign-in attempts were made, stop trying for a while.
      • Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication can temporarily block more attempts after unusual or repeated sign-ins.
      • Try again later or use a different MFA method if one is available.
    4. If access to the authentication method was lost, update security info.
      • If the password is known but some security info is still available, add a new sign-in or verification method from Advanced security options, confirm it, then remove the old one.
      • Do not change all security info at once, because the account may be restricted for 30 days.
      • If all security info was lost, start sign-in and at Verify your identity select I don't have any of these. Replacing all security info requires a 30-day wait before sign-in is allowed.
    5. Contact the school IT administrator if Teams still cannot be accessed.
      • For school accounts, the IT admin may need to give access to Teams.
      • For Microsoft 365 A1 users, Teams is off by default unless the admin turns it on.
      • The admin may also need to check sign-in problems, MFA settings, or organization requirements such as firewall or network policies.

If the issue is only with the desktop app, try signing in through the web version in a private/incognito browser window to rule out a cached sign-in problem.
