In terms of understanding how charges are processed. Azure generates invoices monthly. Any credits on your subscription (such as free trial credits) are applied before the invoice is created. Invoices are typically created near the end of the month, and payment is taken shortly after the new month begins. When an invoice is generated, it will trigger an email notification sent to you, so you know your invoice is ready for you to view.
