Hi,
I created this account because I'm locked out of my main account of 20+ years.
I did the LENOVO BIOS UPDATE a week ago. It has really screwed up my login. I couldn't login with MY PIN. So I did a password reset. That was a mistake. My 2FA is SMS TEXTING. Apparently MS has disabled that. I tried to use the MS AUTHENTICATOR APP, well I can't do that because the phone I have is new.
I went on LENOVO'S forums and disabled the TPM. When I did that, AGAIN I needed to reset my password. So I have mutiple password resets but I can't get passed the 2FA/AUTHENTICATOR because MS has disabled the SMS texting feature and AUTHENTICATOR won't work because my phone is new.
Any ideas here? I can't even cancel my MS subscription because I'm locked out.

Ok, it looks like I MIGHT BE ABLE to reset the password with a PASSKEY on my Pixel phone. I've never done that. Can I setup a PASSKEY AFTER I'VE BEEN LOCKED OUT?
Do you need to do that on MS AUTHENTICATOR? Or is this a NATIVE ANDROID PASSKEY?

The bad news is that you can't recover an account for which you enabled two step verification. See the Important notice in the article.
You will have to set up a new Microsoft account.
If you have a subscription associated with the lost account, you will have to contact your bank to stop payments and then contact Microsoft support.

Is the text message is the only alternative recovery method you have? Often, there is a second e-mail address associated with the account, and you should be able to use that e-mail.
It didn't offer me that option? I'm waiting for another day or 2 before i call in.

That is discouraging, because it suggests that the only access method that you used to have is now failing.
