I just saw that a subscription renewed today for something called PRO Yearly. I did not agree to this and I would like a refund.

To request a refund for a Microsoft subscription renewal, cancel the subscription first. Refund eligibility is determined automatically during cancellation.

    Steps:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account used for the purchase.
    2. Find the subscription and select Manage.
    3. Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel.
    4. Follow the prompts. During cancellation, Microsoft will show whether the subscription qualifies for a refund.

    Key refund policy details:

    • In most cases, a refund may be available within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever is sooner.
    • A refund of the most recent recurring billing charge may also be available if the subscription is canceled within 30 days after payment. This right is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.
    • Not all cancellations result in a refund.
    • If no refund is issued, access typically continues until the end of the current billing period.

If the subscription was purchased through Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, Best Buy, or another third-party retailer, the refund request must be made with that retailer. Microsoft cannot process refunds for third-party purchases.

If the charge is not recognized, it can be investigated on the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard.

    Hi, @Lori Lynch

First, check your Microsoft account Order History here: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Adjust the date range to include today and see if the “PRO Yearly” charge appears there.

Also check your subscriptions here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

    To help narrow this down:

    1. Does “PRO Yearly” appear in either of those pages?
    2. Where did you see the charge: on your bank/card statement, PayPal, Apple, or somewhere else?
    3. What exact merchant name appears next to the charge?

“PRO Yearly” does not clearly identify a Microsoft 365 subscription, so these details will help confirm who actually billed you before requesting the refund.
