my account has been locked and I am told to contact a support person but I do not have a support person

    If you tried to sign in and received a message that your 'Account is locked', you can use the Microsoft Sign-in Helper tool here. This tool will help you with the exact steps to recover your account.

    Alternatively, you can try the Account Recovery form here to recover your account. But this form doesn't work if you have two-step verification enabled.

    Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours.
