I have granted Admin to Calendly Application in Microsoft Entra. What else do I need to do for my end users to use calendly with Microsoft Outlook?

    Hi Marlon,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I would like to provide the following information:

Once you have granted Admin consent to the Calendly application in Microsoft Entra, no additional configuration is required from the administrator side.

End users simply need to sign in to Calendly and connect their Microsoft 365/Outlook account. Please ensure that users have a valid Exchange Online mailbox and that no Conditional Access policies are blocking third-party applications.

After the setup is completed, it may take approximately 30 minutes to 4 hours for the synchronization process to complete and allow end users to use Calendly with Microsoft Outlook.

If your users are still unable to use Calendly after 4 hours, or if any error codes or error messages appear, please share those details with me. I will be happy to continue assisting you.

If tenant-wide admin consent is already granted for Calendly, the remaining requirement depends on how access is controlled in the tenant:

    1. Verify the app is fully consented
      • In Microsoft Entra admin center go to Entra ID > Enterprise apps > All applications.
      • Open Calendly.
      • Go to Permissions under Security.
      • Confirm the required permissions are present and that Grant admin consent has already been applied.
    2. Check whether user access is restricted
      • By default, granting tenant-wide admin consent allows all users to access the application unless the app is otherwise restricted.
      • If access was intentionally limited, the app must be configured to require user assignment, and then the required users or groups must be assigned to the application.
    3. If end users still see approval prompts
      • Confirm no additional permissions were added after consent was granted. If new permissions were added, admin consent must be granted again for those permissions.
      • If the tenant uses the admin consent workflow, reviewers can approve requests in Enterprise applications > Admin consent requests. Reviewers must already have the permissions required to grant admin consent.
    4. Review the security impact before broad rollout
      • Tenant-wide admin consent is a sensitive operation and can allow broad access to organizational data.
      • Also note that granting tenant-wide admin consent may revoke permissions that were already granted tenant-wide for that application, while permissions previously granted by individual users on their own behalf are not affected.

In most cases, after admin consent is granted, no additional end-user action is required unless:

    • the app is restricted by assignment,
    • new permissions were added after consent,
    • or the app still needs approval through the tenant’s consent workflow.
